Melissa Noriega Shows Strong, City-wide Support
HOUSTON (April 3, 2007) - Today, Melissa Noriega announced that with the support of people throughout the city she has raised over $100,770 in her race for Houston City Council At-Large, Position 3.
"The broad support our campaign is receiving is very encouraging. It is wonderful to see police officers and firefighters, business people and labor groups, as well as Houstonians from across the city, unite behind the belief that together we can have a positive effect on the future of our city," said Melissa Noriega.
Attached is a list of Melissa's supporters which includes many current and former officeholders, such as Mayor Bob Lanier, Controller Annise Parker, and Council members Carol Alvarado, Chris Bell, Peter Brown, Ada Edwards, Adrian Garcia, Sue Lovell, Gordon Quan, Gracie Saenz and Eleanor Tinsley.
